I’m a freelance writer & aspiring UX/UI Designer based in Brooklyn, New York.

Technically, you already knew that.
So here’s a proper & thorough introduction:

My Mission

In my childhood, my parents strived to build their lives on security and predictability. When my father finally entered a period in his career where he could see the rest of his life ahead of him, he felt he had reached the peak of his success.

Our world, however, is no longer the same world that my parents confronted in their youth. We are entering an age where predictability is more and more unstable. Ideas, trends, and technologies that are flourishing this month may be old news the next. Standing here, in this new age, I am not on the hunt for a career where I can look ahead and see the rest of my life.

Where the generation before us sought to minimize risk is now where we find the most possibility. And the most audacious thing I am striving to do is to build a career that is unpredictable, creative, and full of risk (and therein adventure).

My Background

After pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, I began my orbit in the professional world as an executive assistant. Beside my professional life, I sustained my creativity through acting classes, writing gigs, and poetry. During the pandemic, I launched my small business, Gardens of Gaia, a shop featuring gems & mineral specimens as well as handmade paper-crafts.

My early career has given me experience in eyeing pain points in everyday routines, utilizing the power of words to evoke emotion and convey a story, and stretching my imagination to hold space for the unexpected.

My current aspirations include exploring more outlets for creative writing and entering the field of product design.

Hello there, I’m Jenn.
